About Us

         LawnMarker.net was created out of our own personal needs.  We moved into a new house and one of our first projects was to change the landscaping around the entire house.  Before we started any new landscaping project we always called different utility companies to make sure they marked their lines with flags.  However, there were times where the electric pet fence company told us that it would cost us $100 service charge to mark the lines and if the line was broken it would still cost $100 service call.  We were better off letting the line break and then they could come out and repair it.  We were pretty frustrated about the number of times the pet fence got broken.  If we had markers for the pet fence many of the breaks and service calls could have been avoided.  Even when we had the cable line marked with flags we still had breaks.

         Once we added markers for the pet fence and the cable wire several breaks were avoided. We also knew before we planted a new tree or edged the lawn, where the pet fence was exactly. We wanted to also added some pipes/tubes under our new walkway to add low voltage lights some time in the future.  We needed to mark these areas where the pipes were instead of guessing because there was no way we would be able to remember the precise location. 

          In terms of the marking, we wanted to create a marker that would blend into our landscape.  It had to be easy to read and very durable.  We created the molded LawnMarkers as a result of several different proto types over several years.
